Garden Room for sale.

Stuart Perry works with an extensive range of plants and materials to create gardens that test the boundaries of craftsmanship and flora. With creative flair and outstanding attention to detail, Stuart manages to convey the grandeur and sheer drama of nature into a domestic human-scale urban environment. With his imaginative design he pushes the boundaries of the outdoor room in terms of theatre and spectacle, whilst at the same time creating a soothing, relaxing environment that can be enjoyed by all.

The garden for the 2006 RHS Chelsea Flower Show as Stuart's first foray into the public arena of show gardens and won a Silver Flora medal. Lincolns Inn Fields

We were contracted by Camden Borough Council to design and build an ecologically friendly sustainable restaurant building for the large park at Lincolns Inn Fields, London. This building had to be flexible –an open box - to allow for future internal re-modelling.

In association with Cameron Scott at Timber Design Ltd, David Yeomans and Andrew Smith, consulting engineers from ACS structures The Timber Frame Company has produced The Terrace, an innovative building supported on timber foundations made from extremely durable greenheart recycled groins from Essex Docks.

The primary frame is UK Douglas Fir with enclosing wall, floor and roof panels made with UK sourced spruce combined with ecological wood fibre panel materials. The entire building is insulated with recycled newspaper and has a stainless steel standing seam roof with galvanised steel guttering by Lindab. The high performance wooden windows are eco-friendly and are made by Rationel.

The interior is uncluttered, light and well ventilated. With judicial use of stainless steel tie rods, the Douglas Fir primary frame does not impede on the internal space.

Olaf Kneer of Mueller Kneer Associates has designed the interior and kitchen fit out and restaurateur Patrick Williams will be running the restaurant.

It has also received the Craftsmanship Award Category E for New Extensions.

Place Barton Barn

We designed and built the new oak frame for the complete renovation of this wonderful mediaeval tithe barn. We worked as part of the design build team alongside Marmot Associates (architects and project management) Ian Coyne Builders (principal contractor) and Paul Carpenter Associates (consulting engineer). It has been one of our finest and most enjoyable projects to date. We are very proud that this project won the highly commended award in the structures category at the 2004 Wood Awards.
