L Shaped House This 'L' shaped house has been built with conventional materials to the first floor. The exposed oak frame provides support for the roof, as well as the glazed and jettied two storey gables at each end. The layout for the house is 'upside-down' affording the commanding views to the first floor living space, where the exposed oak frame can be enjoyed. The house is a good mix of contemporary features with a minimal oak frame incorporating curved sling braces. |

Douglas Fir Framed House This large innovative contemporary home incorporates an extensive Douglas Fir frame that stands on a conventionally constructed basement. The frame has a crisp planed and oiled finish that compliments the minimal interior, and is enclosed by a lightweight insulated timber frame panel. |
|
Oak Framed House This family house represents a cost effective mix of conventional building techniques and materials. The expressed oak primary frame and specialist design creates light and airy interesting spaces in this relatively compact 4 bedroom house.

Open Plan Bungalow This is an innovative 3 bedroom bungalow, with an extensive exposed Douglas Fir core frame. It is small but spacious due to the open plan lay out, with a useful gallery under a glazed lantern apex. The cost effective design has incorporated many ecological features such as re-cycled newspaper insulation, locally sourced weather boarding and passive solar heating. |
Modern Contemporary Oak Framed House This sleek development of an existing barnyard neatly sites a large contemporary house and linking extensions to the older refurbished barn convertions. The scheme incorporates large direct glazed areas, modern insulated pre-finished infill panels with oak coverboards that express the internal frame.
