This 'L' shaped house has been built with conventional materials to the first floor. The exposed oak frame provides support for the roof, as well as the glazed and jettied two storey gables at each end. The layout for the house is 'upside-down' affording the commanding views to the first floor living space. The house is a good mix of contemporary features with a minimal oak frame incorporating curved sling braces. (Devon)
